PORTRONICS LIMEBOX Technical Specifications

PORTRONICS LIMEBOX

The LimeBox smart TV box is what you need to buy if you find yourself stuck with a brand new TV that is dumb in all sense of the term. This Android-based box can make your TV smart and also link it to the Internet. It is easy to set up and needs no special skills. Setting up a wi-fi on this device is also easy. The interface is clean and easy to navigate and it has the usual Google apps like Search, Gmail and Skype. LimeBox plays any video and audio format thorough the USB . The only problem we faced was that it cannot remember the last played point of a video unless you add a bookmark. Plus, the device does not do much to increase the sound, especially if you are playing an HD file. The Internet TV section has YouTube and Metacafe apps (you can add more from Google Play). You will need a wireless keyboard to do anything serious on the browser. The remote does not have any alphabet keys and we could not find a virtual keyboard either. The games tab has angry birds, fruit ninja and fishing water already installed, but we could not play them using the remote.
