Dr. C.V. Raman University CVRU
The Dr. C.V. Raman University CVRU, established by India’s most reputed Education and Training Group - AISECT in 2006, in Chhattisgarh, in the tribal area of Kota-Bilaspur, has transformed the region’s access to higher education. Students need not travel out of the state for quality industry-oriented education. For the first time the tribal region has a premium institute at par with global standards of both education and infrastructure.
The organisation, AISECT in the past 27 years has grown, in terms of providing focussed education and employment as well as taking other initiatives aimed at empowering the people of rural India. With the establishment of CVRU, AISECT took its first step into the area of providing formal education.
The emphasis of the courses now lies in evolving the skills and craftsmanship needed to meet the higher degree of knowledge and excellence required in the professional world. The University focuses on Science and Technology Education and runs Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) programmes in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology and Electrical and Electronics Engineering approved by AICTE. Considering local demands, the University has also set up the Faculty of Education which conducts B.Ed., B.P.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes approved by NCTE.
In a short span of six years, CVRU has succeeded in carving a niche for itself. The University has gained a lot of goodwill on account of continuous emphasis on academic excellence and the successful placement of its students in some of the top companies in India.
